Whale Whatching Full Day Westside Whale Watch We shove off from Friday Harbor at 10 am and head down south through Cattle Pass or up north through Spiden Channel and out to the West Side of San Juan Island into Haro Straight. While underway, a simple lunch is served. We spends a few hours out on the West Side sailing and watching the Orca Whales. It is important to remember that the Orcas are not always in the immediate vicinity of San Juan Island. They are wild animals and have a range of up to 100 miles per day! No one can guarantee a whale sighting, but if we don't see them that day, there is always plenty of other wildlife. Steller Sea Lions, Bald eagles, Otters and Dahl's Porpoise are just some of the spectacular marine wildlife that we regularly see while out on the water. The whole experience is amazing, especially considering that we are out on an beautiful 72' 1939 Schooner in some of the most spectacular natural scenery in the world. All in all, a great day! Don't forget to bring your camera! The Orca Whales are often see on our Full Day Destination Sail as well. This trip is part of our regularly scheduled Island Circumnavigation Sail, leaving Friday Harbor on Friday morning and returning Saturday late afternoon with an overnight stay in beautiful Roche Harbor. We can also organize a Private Whale Watching Charter. Please contact us if you would like to arrange this charter. If you have any questions, would like to reserve your space on a trip or would like to arrange a private viewing, please email us (feel free to use our web contact form) or call us at 360-378-6700. Please reserve your trip as early in the season as possible as we fill up quickly in the summer season and have a maximum of 6 people per trip unless previous arrangements have been made!
